There are loads of Great Golf drills out there but this is one of my favorites from this year so this is the Chinese fighting stick drill let’s get into it and see how it can transform your Game so this is the Chinese figh ins drill so it’s one of my favorites for this year definitely something that I’m going to be working on through the winter and moving forward and this is something that you can do from home so in the UK at the moment we’re coming end

Of December moving into January February the weather’s rubbish and we’re not going to be playing a lot of golf so this is a practice drill that you can either do at the driving range or that you can do from home and I guarantee that it’s going to improve your swim

Right so what is it so what we’re talking about is plain of Swing now where people get this wrong or where they struggle in their um swings and this this is something that I might use with somebody is if they’re doing sort of these sort of things if you’re

Standing there holding the golf club normally and then as you swing you deliver it get to this position here but the club’s pointing out and then as you deliver the club out to in Club comes down Club face is going to have to be very open to accommodate for that you’re

Going to have a lot of power leaks going to give the ball a bit of a glancing blow and lose distance similarly if you’re getting too far from the inside struggling in this position and again you’re sort of then having to slow down compensate with your hands losing

Distance and power it’s again giv the ball a bit of a glancing blow you’re not going to hit it as well this is a drill that I’ve seen used on top or at least variations of it so I’ve seen Rory Mao doing this where he stands there swings

Uses something very very similar to what I’m going to talk about and then hitting a b Tiger Woods do did talks about something very very similar when he in the early days when he was working working with but charman trying to get the feeling of getting the club working

In front of the chest right so this is what it is so it’s to stand there get the longest club that you got doesn’t matter what it is could be it could even be a broom handle or anything like that it doesn’t matter but you hold it left

Hand in front there’s my glove hand so that I can see all the knuckles in that way right hand underneath like that then as you’re going to swing you want to turn rotate and get this feel in here so I go down the line you stand there and

Swing and go right so that the but of the club’s pointing down to the line of the ball and that is you on playe similarly on the down swing return get to a good impact position so that the club’s nice there and then as you swing through you can feel that the left

Hand’s working to the left hand side of your body as the right hand accelerates in that’s going to get you using the ground now the feeling of spiraling up is something that I’ve spoken about in other videos so and this really exaggerates that so that you can stand

There feel like as you’re doing your back swing move that you’re raising spiral ing up there squatting down into the ball and spiraling up through so these are good feelings for your golf swing and it’s going to work if you get it wrong so that you’re in this position

You can see that’s not going to work similarly if you take it away and get there that’s not going to work and also if you’re delivering it and moving forward afterwards again these are not the right feelings you want to be thinking right stand there like that

Swing deliver the club on plane into the ball up and out the way getting that sensation of your weight moving back into your left heel in the down swing and into impact that’s going to get you on plane this is going to make you stand there swing use the ground use the fores

Applying the pressure into the into the handle of the golf club at the right points so that here as you’re as you’re taking it away that left hand’s pushing down as the right hand’s working up and then as you come through that left hand’s working up as the right right

Hands working down that’s going to get you delivering the force into the shaft at the right points in your swing start to use the ground a little bit more get those feelings of spiraling up and then you can stand there and start making some swings at the ball stand there get

That feeling there that you’re spiraling up applying the pressure into the shafts at the right point and then on the way through that’s going to keep you nicely on plane take a couple of practice swigs fill in all the same things set yourself up and just hit the ball
