The sky track plus is a great device affordable price point low subscription fees great accuracy amazing features but is it the right device for you starting off with one of the biggest positives of the Sky trck Plus is the space constraints other devices like the MEO

Plus you’re going to need at least 18 ft of depth but the sky track plus can operate in a very small space you can get away with 10 ft of width and probably 15 or 16 ft of depth to make this device work now let’s get into one

Of the biggest questions you’re going to have how accurate is this device so I’ve tested essentially every device sky track plus mevo plus trackman Bushnell launch Pro foresight gc3 apog and so I feel like I’m pretty qualified for each of these devices I will hit at least

1,000 shots and I’m going to compare their readings directly to the trackman reading so the good news with the sky track plus is I think it is an extremely accurate device I think if you’re above a 10 handicap I don’t think you’ll be able to tell much of a difference

Between this and a track M or a GC quad but I do feel like I get probably one in every 20 shots something that just feels a little off maybe the carry yardage feels a little off maybe the offline is a little off now it’s never to the point

Where I’m like okay that is 100% the wrong read but it definitely feels like it is off what I would expect um the course now the good news is over 18 holes of simulator play you’re talking maybe one to two shots are going to be a little different than the most accurate

Units on the market and again this device is only $2,700 so if that’s the biggest issue with a device we’re sitting pretty good because every other shot seems exactly what I would get on those units that are $10 to $20,000 now next up let’s talk about balls you can really use any ball

You want I would probably stay away from like the soccer balls from Callaway basically as long as you put it on that red dot you’re going to be good to go we’ve been using Titleist Prov ons and have had a great experience moving on to price cuz it can get a bit confusing

With the subscription fees but either way if you’re looking to get this device as cheap as possible use our link below from playb better.com and it’s going to get you the lowest possible price so with the skyre plus it’s going to be around 2700 give or take whatever sales

Going on and then with that there’s a couple of subscription options the first option is the game improvement package which is $130 a year and allows you to play third party softwares like GS Pro if you want to play courses for the cheapest possible subscription you’re

Going to pay 250 a year to get to play an improved package and that’s going to give you 15 E6 courses for iPad or PC on to the setup of the device the good news about the Sky trk Plus out of every device we’ve tested it is definitely the

Easiest to set up both initially and after you set it up the first time it probably takes us a minute to set up we plop it down on the ground have it in its protective case and we’re good to go moving on to simulator programs we’ve kind of already talked about this but

One of the biggest benefits I want to highlight again is the fact that you can play with an iPad and those E6 courses this allows you to build out some cheap simulators maybe with just a hitting net and a mat hooked up to an iPad and a TV

And you’re playing a full simulator experience at a cheaper cost if you want to spend money on a PC which we recommend then you pretty much have the full set of simulator programs you can use with the sky track plus GS Pro is not officially integrated but there is a

Workaround to get it to work and one other thing I want to highlight I generally don’t use like the default program that comes with the device I’ll just link it to GS Pro and use all their features but the sky Trek Plus’s default program like their driving range and

Stuff was really really good I really enjoy their whole setup I like the three color data tiles that tell you if you hit in the the right spin range and launch angle so I’m really impressed with their software next up battery life you’re going to get about 5 hours with

The sky Trek plus which is enough where you can just leave it without plugging it in for a full round but it’s not enough where you can kind of charge it rarely you got to make sure when you’re done with it you get it charged to full

Battery but moving on to the driving range can you use it at the driving range Bushell launch Pro Meo plus you can what about the Sky trck Plus kind of you can use it on a driving range mat so you can’t use with real grass but a mat

Works but if we’re being honest people who think they’re going to bring these devices to the driving range don’t really bring them anyway like they’ll just leave them in the simulator I thought I would use these devices at the range all the time I maybe use them two

Or three times a year next we’re going to get into one of the things people think is a kind of the device and that is responsiveness people say that the time it takes from when I hit the ball to the screen that’s delayed and I can tell you guys compared to the original

Sky trk the sky trk plus it’s not an issue maybe a second second and a half but you get used to it pretty quick and with any of the devices like the MEO plus b on launch Pro I don’t think this is to the point where it’s a deal

Breaker for any of the devices so we’ve talked about accuracy of the device with those driver shots with those iron shots but what about putting now this is something I’m going to start saying in all my videos so get really close stop putting on a golf simulator I don’t care

How good the device is at reading at putting I never think putting is worth it on a simulator and here’s why first off you’re never going to get better putting on a simulator reason number two if you’re playing with four guys it takes probably an hour longer on average

To play 18 holes everyone I have over who has done both putting and those autop putt features the programs provide always chooses autop putt cuz you’re going to get to play more golf more holes and less time and you’ll get better quicker so tip number one don’t

Putt on a golf simulator but if you really want to putt Sky Trek plus I found reads really well on putts moving on to lefties and righties can you use lefties and righties with a device kind of if you have lefties over all the time then the option is really going to be

The meibo plus but I think you can make it work with the sky Trek plus with GS Pro there’s a feature that allows you to play out the hole so what you can do is golfer one plays hole one then golfer 2 plays hole one instead of the

Traditional back and fourth so if you have that option then it would be pretty simple you just move it after every hole which is a lot less of a pain than when you move it every single shot so one of the questions you probably have is how

Sturdy is the device do I need to get the shank tank if I have bad golfers over maybe young kids I would highly recommend getting the shank T the device is constructed really well but I wouldn’t say the plastic is as durable as the Bushell launch Pro and I would be

Kind of worried about maybe kids hitting it or a shank going into it I think it would be pretty rare but I think it’d be worth the extra $100 to get the shank tank just to keep your device safe moving down to quirks of the device so a

Quirk for me is something that isn’t necessarily a deal breaker but it’s something that may be a little Annoying for some of you so cork number one is burz the color you pick so for other devices like the mevo plus you can get whatever color you want for the Sky trk

Plus because it is an infrared camera you’re going to want to get black dark green or dark blue Burt to hit with other colors can throw off the readings of the device next another small Quirk is the Red Dot I like that they have the

Red Dot to show you exactly where to hit but it’s nice to have a bigger range kind of like the bushon launch Pro and Meo plus is it a deal breaker no but you’re going to be hitting in around the same spot every time and then finally

Club stickers the device says that it reads club path face angle Club Speed without the club stickers but from my testing I actually felt like the club path and face angle weren’t reliable that was until I already had Club stickers on for my bush launch Pro then

I was like wow these faceing angles and Club pass are extremely reliable so it works without it which is nice cuz some of the other devices don’t but if you want to get it as good as possible I would recommend getting some Club stickers to put on your clubs for the

Primary users of the unit now adding on to that with Club data the club data is very very good with the device I found with those Club stickers attached face angle club path felt extremely reliable angle of attack all that stuff the only thing that seemed a little bit off was

The club when I compared the sky track plus to the trackman to the bushot launch Pro foresight gc3 mevo plus all their Club speeds were essentially the same the sky Trek was the only one that was off and I can say for a fact it

Feels like Club speed is a little off on the sky treack now I think they’ll get that fixed with some later updates but I didn’t find the club speed specifically to be super reliable overall I think the sky Trek plus is a great device for its price point its low subscription fee and

How accurate it is I just think it’s a great buy and I think if you’re going to get it you won’t be disappointed with the device I think people all the way up to scratch golfers could benefit from this device I think the offline readings are very good it calculates gear effect

And I just think it’s a great unit now if you do have any questions feel free to email me at gobusters official gmail.com and again if you guys want to get the devices cheap as possible use our code in links below thanks for watching the video make sure to like And

  1. Appreciate the videos! Just got a SkyTrak, and was curious because you mentioned it other videos, but didn't in this one, but did using a ball like the TP5 Pix make a big difference in improving accuracy, or would I be OK to use any ball?

  2. Great video and found this to be spot on.

I’ve had the SkyTrak+ for a few weeks and it does seem quite accurate aside from occasional wild inflated carry numbers. I did find that I had quite a few high wedge shots that didn’t read though and not sure if it’s because I didn’t have enough lighting, but other irons normally read. WGT has to be played on iOS as well. In any case, it was getting frustrating so I decided to return it.

I decided to splurge on the GC3 (need it to work overseas) for that extra level of accuracy and hopefully less misreads/no reads. I find the no reads to be the most frustrating.
