Really enjoyed listening to FP after hours. With all the negativity in sports media, his positivity and patience on topics and callers was refreshing. He was the main reason I switched back to KNBR from the other station
I remember when Ralph was let go and it really hurt it was crushing. Tom and Ralph were special. I wrote a letter to Lee Hammer about how bad of an idea it was to let Ralph go and whomever made that call was an F idiot. Lee actually wrote me back. Hearing he is also gone with MAC today hurts and brought me back to the day Ralph was let go. Murph and MAC were my go to morning drive program and it sucks hearing MAC is gone. Cumulus don't F%^& with Tom and Copes!
To whom it may concern!! Murph and Mack and F.P. and everyone working at KNBR are people that we all listen to on the way to work and home and during the day if we could listen to the radio. For who ever made the decision to let all this great people go, well let me tell YOU something, if you don't bring them back, there well be NO MORE KNBR all because of you….. All this people are like family to many of us, no matter if we agree with them or not. Never thought i see the day when KNBR would go this low…. SHAME ON YOU
Niceties aside, The cheap bastards that don't know what their doing are ruining KNBR . I love Tom but he's definitely next, if you have talent or knowledge you WILL be shown the door.
Thank you Paulie Mac for your contributions to the show. I spent many mornings listening to the Murph & Mac show during my commute to work. It was an incredibly tough time of my life but I could always count on the morning show to make me laugh, feel joy, and just for a fleeting moment helped me forget about all of my problems. I even won a contest on the Murph & Mac show that allowed me and a few other winners to take live batting practice at Oracle Park before a Giants game, with free tickets included. I got to meet both Paulie and Brian – they were both really nice guys and showed that their enthusiastic radio persona’s are who they are in real life as well. Best of luck Paulie Mac, FP, and everyone else, and thank you all.
People think that this time of year is joyous but November and December lead all other months in regards to people getting let go from their jobs. Don't know why, but everyone I know that was laidoff was let go in December. Including me once.
