Well it is an expensive sport and if they got kids racing and the drivers can leave NASCAR but still race in othr series and help their kids in racing ….idk and ya like u said or Schrader or someone said NASCAR will tell YOU when YOUR done. Yikes. Well with those stupid tires and 1 lug nut idk who's hairbrained ideas those were but stupid stupid stupid imho…. but ya i know everything is bout $$$$$$ nowadays freaking flippin sadπŸ˜”

  4. It’s been fun watching Kurt grow up in the sport. I’m glad he will continue to be involved. Racing is where he belongs.

  5. MAaaan always liked kurt since he drove for Roush in the 97 sharpy Ford winning a Championship to that great Battle & finsh between Kurt & Ricky Craven at Darlington Sure will miss you Brother God bless your next Chapter🌹 always sucks watching one of my Favorite wheel men Retire πŸ’ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ™

  6. My dad started to be a kurt busch fan back in his first year in the 97 Roush car, so as most sons do I cheered for him too. He really does have a ton of talent, I just think his inability to control his emotions bit him in the ass, as well as stained the publics perspective of him. But I truly believe he one hell of a Wheelman.

  7. I'm confused… he hasn't been in a car for a year or more, right…?!? I'm confused…! I thought he already made this announcement last year…

  8. Great dude. The deep breath while reading says it all. Tough! Helluva a guy on the backend for a growing company, couldn't ask for better. CHEERS! Your dedication and passion will live on! GOOD JOB, KURT!

  9. He has accomplished more in auto racing than many NASCAR drivers never have attempted. All 3 NASCAR series, IROC, Indy 500, NHRA, and the Grand-Am series.

  10. Sad news, A ton of respect for you Kurt. Stay in the garage stay in the race shop stay in the loop..

  11. He could always go full circle and go back to work at the Vegas Valley water district and racing at the Bullring although driving on Vegas streets these days is as dangerous and Daytona .

  12. He’ll continue competitive racing at the Freedom Factory..πŸ¦…πŸ’―

  13. Damn it I was as really hoping he would make a comeback met him this year at charlotte asked him are you coming back? With the fire in his eyes he said, β€œoh I’m hoping to come back next year.”

  14. I actually hated the guy at one time early in his career. Damn strange how things are different now. Kurt isn't such a bad guy. Thanks Kenny. πŸ‘

  15. One of the greats! Thank you for all the great moments you gave us! The best of luck with your future! God bless you n the best of luck!

  16. I still remember ur first Daytona 500 when EARNHARDT sr told u u was #1 πŸ–•πŸ» at 200 mph . But he seen ur talent and was doing the same thing with you he done with M. Waltrip when he pointed At him telling u to tighten up an get it together cause he seen ur potential . Have a blessed retirement Kurt

  17. You were always my favorite driver the year you took the championship tire incident that was too much sorry you’re retiring. Going to miss you. Thanks.

  18. Gonna be missed my fav driver of all time congratulations on all of your accomplishments in the sports of racing looking forward to your next chapter in life God bless πŸ™Œ

  19. He is one of the few guys that had a chip on his shoulder and finally realized the sport was about team involvement not just his talent. I knew someone who worked with the Busch brothers in Las Vegas so I knew what they were growing up and how that affected their behavior early on. Sad to see him leave but getting healthy after a severe concussion is much tougher than people realize especially as you get older.

  20. Damn! Isn't Kurt the last driver in Cup to race against Dale Sr.? Been fun watching Kurt go from a punk kid beefing with Jimmy Spencer (and the media), to a well respected veteran!!! One HELL of a wheelman!!! Thanks for the memories Kurt, and thanks for being YOU!!!

Busch vs. Craven @ Darlington still blows my mind!!! One of, if not, the greatest finish in Cup Series history!!!

  21. I’m very happy to see how Kurt grew and held it together after all the various issues that occurred in his younger days. This shows he is human too. He made mistakes, on and off with mistakes, then stood back up straight and kept going and worked hard to become a nice and kind person.
