First played in 1896, the Riversdale Cup is the second oldest amateur golf tournament in Australia and is the world’s longest running amateur golf tournament organised and run by a private golf club. With over 100 volunteers (Members) involved in running the event each year, the Riversdale Golf Club has been proud to host this event in support of amateur golf in Australia. The event is rated in the top 100 World Amateur Golf Ranking events.
Notable winners include Robert Allenby, Aaron Baddeley, Harrison Endycott and Sarah Kemp, the tournament was one of the first combined male and female events with a fantastic atmosphere. We attract players from around the world, and is a great four round stroke play test under tournament conditions for those about to turn professional – including Jason Day, Adam Scott, Mark Leishman, Geoff Ogilvy, Gabi Ruffels, Travis Smyth, Cam Smith, Hannah Green, Min Woo Lee, Lydia Ko, Jed Morgan – the list goes on and on..
