It really helps to have natural rhythm
Dr. Kwon, is there a preferred grip that allows the wrists to move more freely and still square the club head?
It seemed like John had trouble transitioning from the swing he developed with the rope swing (more fluid, less force/tension in his hands & arms) to the swing with the driver (generating all the force the of the swing with his hands and arms). I wonder if it would have clicked better if he had tried alternating between the rope swing and the driver swing to bridge the two.
Horrible swing.
Dr Kwon … I really admire your patience in these re-programming sessions.
Is the reason you promote more of an upward movement in the hips in the swing because that contributes more to torque generation in the frontal plane? In other words, if the hip moves backward excessively, it would contribute less optimally to torque generation in the frontal plane?
The action of relaxing my upper body and arms and having them react to my lower body, like an orchestra reacting to the direction of a conductor, has greatly improved my swing. Thank you for posting these videos.
This was great to watch. Because we can see how you can train at any age to improve. This gentleman was getting frustrated at some points but the benefit to his game will be undeniable. I hope one day to have the funds the have a lesson with Dr Kwon. I already play using these videos as my guides and I am playing the best golf that I have ever played in the 20 years of playing. So I can only imagine how much of an improvement I could make with dr Kwon teaching me directly!
When you mentioned he needed more delay at the top. Why not show him a loop from the top. ?
Dr. Kwon, I'm in my early 60s. Do you think this type of long backswing body-driven momentum swing will hold up well as people get older? I'm wondering about possible back problems.
