  1. I bought a set of lynx VT irons which were more like new clubs hardly been hit 5 to p for ££212, bargain

  2. Really like this series idea. Recently purchased Nike pro combo irons and have been gaming them. Feel and look great! Second hand marker you can find some really good deals.

  3. That driver won Rory the 2014 Open actually. He struggled with 1.0 tour, and they vastly improved the 2.0. The reputation is with the 1.0, not the 2.0. It’s in my bag still and goes just where I want it to.

  4. I always wanted to have a set of Taylormade RAC MB irons. Very rare to find in lefty. I had Nike Covert 2.0 Pro for a short time. Got it cheap, sold it quick 😄

  5. A lot of whinging about beautiful clubs. I'd be willing to carry your bag if the pay-off was to take them home afterwards. ;>) When you send them back, James, use my address.

  6. for someone who games the original Covert Driver it was one of Nike's best and works for me just fine once I get the right setting. I picked up a £60 Nike Vaporfly 3w off gumtree which was a great deal and its in my bag still. Nike are pretty much collectors items nowadays but I still love mine 🙂

  7. My Wilson D7 forged irons were 2nd hand, two years ago, less than a year old £400 from the pro shop where I have lessons. Lie angle tweaked for me. Love them

  8. A pristine, Honma – TW – 727 – 10.5* (430cc) demo club for roughly $150.00 USD. Not a single blemish on the head!

  9. Last year, I purchased the Miura MP-101, from 5 iron to pitching wedge and saved about $500 US. The used clubs were not even scratched. I bought them from 2nd Swing golf in the US.

  10. I have wanted to buy used clubs before but here in the us (Ohio) the prices for used clubs are pretty steep. For the cost I would rather buy an older club new and get it the way I want it. Like the mavrik driver setup the way I like it vs a paradyme that still costs twice as much. I love golf but new club prices are insane and the used ones are prices silly as well. One day I’ll be well off enough to not care about the cost but that’s not today haha

  11. Just bought a set of Mizuno Pro originals 4 to pw for 50 quid , the bladiest of blades and absolutely love them just need a regrip

  12. As a new golfer (started this year), I definitely opted to go second hand clubs. Didn’t make sense to get fitted since I don’t have an established swing yet and the cost of new clubs is egregious to me.

That being said I’ve picked up essentially two full sets of clubs for under $1,000 and have found a combination that works well for me after having gotten a few lessons. I’ll be keeping the irons of the second set but will be reselling the rest that didn’t suit my developing swing and game.

Current set up (all bought used hand)

    Callaway Big Bertha Fusion @14.5°
    Taylormade Burner Superfast 3.0 5 Wood 18°
    Taylormade RBZ 4 Hybrid 22°
    Stix 5-PW
    Lazrus 52°
    Vokey SM8 58° 14K
    Odyssey EXO Putter

Thank you for all the great content have learned a lot and looking forward to seeing what else is out there.

  13. James, love you man, but you’re mispronunciation of ‘Nike’ is killing me! It’s not Nike like Mike, but Nike like ‘Mikey’! Crack on Mate!

  14. I still play my Nike VR 21 degree hybrid, likely my favorite club. Such a crisp feel, goes very well and I can work it both directions. Modern hybrids feel like hitting a lump of plastic in comparison. Nike made some duds for sure, but they also made some fantastic clubs.
