Matt Jones walks us through the Red Bull Rampage digging process and explores some of the new lines for 2023. Riders are allowed a team of two diggers, 75 sandbags, and ten days in the Utah desert to build a winning line at the world’s wildest freeride mountain bike event.

Red Bull Rampage returns to the former site of the 2008-2013, 2022 competitions, which last saw riders on the course almost a decade ago. It’s the site of the contest’s most iconic moments, with new history-making sends to occur this week in Utah.

  1. Why hasn’t someone been up there and done a photogrammetry model of the place

Would be awesome to play with that model… take measurements and do virtual site visits

  2. I am actually tremendously worried about Szymon. That feature does not look worth it.. And I still haven't seen a perspective where it looks possible

  3. The problem is I reached an age where I can't watch this kind of events live.
Am just too scared for the riders

  4. Yeah but why is always on fridays!? I have to work and cant watch it! Lame!!

  5. Hi Red Bull did you do an ecological assessment of the site first before starting work?
Looking forward to seeing the riders hit their lines!
