  1. i played grafaloy blue X for years in the early to mid 2000's and clubs got stolen back in 2019 that was a great driver shaft

  2. Well I was watching a video yesterday and one of the long drive guys said he was going to give us a secret and his secret was we can gain 5 miles an hour with a 40G lady shaft and he tested this theory on a launch monitor and I have to say I got to agree with him l recently tried this myself and it worked amazing

  3. 😂 just incase anyone missed it…. This video was sponsored by golf clubs for cash 😂😂

  4. Great test. Now put a ventus in a 20 yr old driver and see if new shaft makes old driver perform better

  5. My all time favorite driver shaft is the Aldila NV Green. I love it so much and feel so confident with it that when I ordered my new PXG driver, I ordered it with that exact shaft. Never have I hit a driver so well. Well done PXG and well done Aldila!

  6. As a beginner would you say there would be much difference in me getting the takomo 101 over the ram fx77? Have seen a lot of people saying they are the same clubs however the rams are half the price by the time I put a couple of wedges on the order and pay for shipping from takomo

  7. Funny you mentioned the shaft length, as i am 6'2" but play a 44.75" driver length, as it has become a fairway finder in my big bertha fusion 2016 driver… for fun, i am playing a matrix ozik 7×3 white tie s flex tipped an inch for said driver

  8. I’ve got a test for you. Use a much shorter shaft, like a 3 wood, but then add counterbalancing to bring the club head speed back up. I’ll come smack them for a high handicap percesepecive for you so you can get a pro and an amateurs view and result

  9. We don't know if it's even an old/new technology issue. It might be that a decades old, well used shaft degraded a little

  10. I have the same kali shaft in my G430 max driver and I never hit a driver so straight before fantastic combination 👍💪💪💪⛳️🏌🏿‍♂️

  11. I believe for a very good driver of the ball like James the differences are pretty minimal, especially with spin, which on driver us incredibly important.

For someone who doesnt hit square and in that 2000-2600 shafts will make a massive difference. A fade with 2500 rpm’s will stay in the faiway whereas 4500 spin its lost in the woods and short.

  12. I have an Adams Insight A4 9015d 8 degree drive with an xstiff proforce shaft and it’s still a beast. When trying the old shafts, the proforce has to be up there…

  13. Putting my 40 year old shaft in a 20 year old head has always been a fantasy. Why wouldn't you have put the new shaft into an old head, and the old head into a new shaft and compared? Who cares about these shafts in the same modern head?

  14. James i love to see a video of a driver . Then same driver with a aftermarked shaft to see the difference . Will the aftermarket shaft be more consistent

  15. Hhmm, I was getting the impression you were swinging out through it more with the new shaft. Could you be unconsciously correcting downswing with the older one because of how it feels? Or maybe it's just the angles on camera, hard to say.
I;m older than dust now but 60 years ago if a driver was a bit different you just adjusted for it to get back in the middle!
We used to hit straight faced drivers off the fairway then too, not sure the modern balls, and the clubs, lend themselves to that now though. I was a very early adopter of the American ball long before the change was mandatory, because it was harder to hit so you had to improve your ball striking so not talking about the British size ball here which was harder to putt with.
Better ball striking, easier putting, what's not to like! Maybe that's why the Americans dominated the Open so much in the Sixties.
I'm still hitting it out of sight, but that's because I can't see the bloody thing now!!
    Good video.
