  1. Do they give club speed tile and are they entertaining compatibility with other simulation software?

  2. Looking forward to your reviews on this. After my own extensive testing and review I ended up purchasing a GC Quad. I felt that the mis-hits on be quad were much more accurate. The regular track man struggled to accurately capture the “gear” effect (toe and heel hits). In particular, a push draw hit on the toe of a driver would read as a push fade.

I would love it if you could include that aspect in your upcoming reviews.

  3. ⛳ 💯 Great video, Jay! Congrats to Jakob and Trackman 🟧 on this new product!! Opening up new doors with proven tracking and best in industry software/UI

  4. Jay, excellent video. The interview was very informative. Great to see TM raising the bar on indoor launch monitor tech and tournament play. Their software is clean, the UI and impact video is impressive. Does TM support 4k graphics? Curious to see how the residential market will respond to the $700/$1K subscription model. Great content….

  5. i have yet to be on a track man home sim and been satisfied. as a 2 cap and bud a +3 cap always felt other sims more accurate for indoor. in fact a teaching pro cally rep just switched is trackman setup to uneekor….and he was die hard trackman snob..

  6. Great Video! iO looks amazing, especially at that more affordable price point. Trackman quality data at that price? Trackman better be ready for these to fly off the shelf! I'm excited to see the new iO for myself now.

  7. Can you show what the calibration screen looks like and how that works? Is it the same as TM4 where each time you fire up TPS you need to calibrate by telling TM where your target is? (The yellow crosshair is what I’m referring to)

Next question is, with TM4, when you hit the ball from an offset position (meaning the ball isn’t on the direct straight line between the yellow crosshair target and the TM4), and you aim at the spot directly in front of the ball (basically your offset ball position and where you are aiming, forms a line that is parallel with the line between the non-off set ball position and the target you put the yellow crosshair on during calibration). When you do this with the TM4, the club path and face angle reads incorrectly, because you are not aiming at the target on the yellow crosshair. So with TM4, if you want to hit the ball from an offset position, you actually need to change your stance and position such that you are aiming at the yellow crosshair target, in order to get the correct club path and face angle readings.

Is this the case with the TM IO?

(I fully appreciate I might have done a horrible job trying to communicate what I am trying to ask… this is a pretty complex situation to describe in words.. easier in person)

  8. Another question – it doesn’t seem like the unit comes with a remote control. How do you power on / off the unit? Do you need to physically interact with a button on the TM IO unit?

One issue with TM4 is you need to power on and off the unit a couple times a week, and the only way to do that is to press the power button at the bottom of the machine. Obviously this is easier to do with a unit that sits on the floor, and harder with a unit that’s 10’ high.

  9. Did you get a chance to ask Jakob if or when they will add club data such as angle of attack, low point distance, swing plane, swing direction, etc? I know it was mentioned in the video that some club parameters might come in the future. But these are pretty crucial metrics to have in commercial settings when giving lessons. For them to charge $7,500 more for commercial use, (I assume the hardware for the Home and Commercial versions are identical) it better come with the whole entire suite of club and ball parameters that the TM4 tracks.

  10. Thanks for the review…It would not work for my set up…I need one I can move from a forward shot projectory to a 90 deg projectory to hit shots out side along with into a forward net…Thanks….

  11. I would love to see a review of this new Trackman, the Trugolf Apogee, and the Uneekor Eye XO2. Looking to build a custom sim this winter and was leaning towards the Apogee, but this really added a new wrinkle to my planning.

  12. I don't think anyone would ask you as an independent reviewer to make judgements on or even mention the lawsuits, and your comment below on them is insightful and correct. It IS hard to watch a company get this much air time and interview time that has left such a wound on another large portion of the home simulator community that really should all be galvanized as one passionate community. It would be good of you to consider giving a large video/interview time to that particular community as well, especially as the independent designers like myself and many others are pushing the envelope of home golf immersion more than anyone else in the industry in a mostly unpaid, because we love it kind of way. @GolfSimulatorVideos FYI, I posed under the wrong account, this is CE.Simgolf from the community.

  13. I assume being a TM product that there will be zero possibility of integration with third party software.
Big mistake imho if that is the case

  14. I wonder if there will be an overhead/side camera integration for TM4 customers? Have best of both worlds of TM4 and TMIO. Great video and thanks for sharing!!

  15. Trackman is a plague on the sim community. They attempt to destroy other companies by mounting frivolous lawsuits. I'd consider them a negative in the sim community. Think about that before you "independently review" their products.

  16. This is so exciting. But I still don’t know which to pick, GC Quad/Hawk, Full Seing Pro 2.0 a trackman IO, golfzon 2 vision, etc

  17. Can see this selling really well. Packed with features that are available elsewhere for sure but in a single package like this under the Trackman name. It's going to sell in large numbers

  18. Dude… you have over 30,000 subscribers! Great to see how the channel has grown so much over the years. This is really interesting. Love to see how the competition in this space is driving so much innovation and quality.

  19. Looks like a great product but at 700 or more a year for the sub that is a lot to pay for what you get, He even said you could pay more for the sun to get more. Now you are talking 1000 per year. Just not worth it to me when there is so many other products in the market

  20. So on the video with the club and path, is that the actual clubhead we're seeing?

I'm guessing by the logo on the ball, it's the actual club right? That's very cool!

  21. I use a carls golf indoor simulator. My dimensions is 10’ high and 12.5’ width and 10’ length. My concern is the ceiling mount. Will the TrackMan io see with a 10 feet tunnel. I have a black spandex material on the top and sides of the simulator. And will the projection interfere with the TrackMan. My projector is about 9.5 feet high. Any comments would be great

  22. This looks amazing. Great interview and demo.

Love the fact that it doesn't need stickers or specific ball… but the price (with subscription) is still a bit high for the residential market.

I think the Eye XO 2 made a mistake not finding a way to eliminate the stickers. That would have made it a no brainer over the original.

  23. to clarify, Trackman iO CANNOT be used outdoors or it also could be used on the range as well as indoors?

  24. The new device looks like it is a winner. Love the club path tracking because I need to find if I hit the golf ball fat, which actually happens to me on a grass practice tee.. I did not see the club data screen, so is it still in the software?
The ability for the device to be in small spaces like a living room is intriguing to me. The problem for me is that I still have to use real golf balls to get the correct information. The place that I use the TrackMan, sometimes my shots do not get all the club data. I am hopeful the new device solves those problems
BTW, you talk about the Ally Championship Pro-Am. I live in Michigan. Where do you do the videos?

  25. Just saying Uneekor will read a tap in from under 12 inches. Can TrackmanIO use TGC 2019. The $700 to $1000 a year fee is not ideal.

  26. Don’t get the point at this price ? GC 3 should be as good and portable with a non limited software and could be used with GSPRO for half the price.
