The time has come, so I spent thousands to upgrade my Stix clubs with premium shafts from Fujikura. The trickest and most expensive Stix clubs in the world!

During my True Spec fitting, I selected shafts entirely based on feel. I didn’t do any research beforehand or pay attention to what shafts I was swinging. Being that I did this at True Spec, there is no doubt that I hit only premium shafts.

To my surprise, I chose Fujikura VeloCore shafts across the board! So clearly, something in that technology put wind in my sails.

60 – 5i :: Axiom 105 S
4h :: Ventus HB 7-S
3w :: Ventus TR Red 6-S
D:: Ventus TR Blue 6-S

What results did I see on the sim? My wedges were much, much more consistent, and brought my confidence back (something that I was struggling with as of late). My Irons saw a significant consistency improvement, higher ball flight, a better feel, distances increased by 5 – 10 yards, and a smile every time I strike the ball. My 4h got more consistent and gained a ball flight that sticks on the greens. My 3w saw the most distance gained at 30y, and the Driver doesn’t go right anymore. and I can finally control the club face.

10 strokes gained? Yes. I went from shooting high 70’s to mid 80’s in the sim to high 60’s to mid 70’s. In my opinion, this is all due to improved consistency in shafts that I don’t have to time the whip.

(No, I don’t have any affiliation) Fujikura… Thank you!

  1. I stopped golfing for about 3 years but recently starting get back into it because my 11 yr old is getting into it. We went to buy him a used set of clubs and the shop owner suggested these Stix irons. I had no clue what they were, but I took his word for it and they were also a good price. Of course I had to give them a try myself and loved them! I'm going to have to keep them for myself and give my son my 10 yr old set of irons haha. Also thanks for the info about these VeloCore shafts. I had no idea about this either. Going to look into it now. It does make golf exciting for me again. 🙂
