Charles Barkley’s grandmother told him if he didn’t get a double-double he was an embarrassment to the family. He sits down with Bob Myers on Lead by Example to discuss being raised in the projects and his experience with racial divides. They break down the Hall of Famer’s authentic nature and the power of his voice, and highlight his “I Am Not a Role Model” Nike campaign. Bob wonders what it would be like to build a team around Charles, and they ponder whether he would’ve been a bust in today’s NBA.

  5. Bob Myers suck as a g.m., he's gotten lucky, he didn't draft Steph or Klay, without them he wouldn't be looked at as a good g.m., he's picks have been terrible over the years, the warriors should look for another g.m.

  6. funny . i grew up with both of my parents , neither of them showed up at my graduation. yeah , it pissed me off . but no tears ..

  7. Charles Barkley got pulled over in his sports car drunk and high chasing whores on Van Buren is why he said, "I am not a role model." Don't get me wrong, this was the 1980's and I was pretty wild myself, and I LOVED him saying that, but he cleaned it up a bunch. I read his book, "Whose Afraid of the Big Black Man." I love it, Charles is so real and he is right about how to get rid of racism. Start a conversation and call people out on their B.S.

  8. Lot people forget how good of a scorer Barkley was his was a good player him and Malone and Hakeem Olajuwon in that era was so good players forget how good they were they were very good eat players alive today

  9. Why are there edits here? There some very noticeable edits. I didn't jot down the times of the others, but the first edit I did, around 19:04.

  10. What’s the difference between “Jewish” and just white folks? Why is Judaism supposedly exclusive to Caucasians? Ppl from all different religions comes in a variety of colors

  11. Regret watching this, stoped Three minutes in – just for some reason i cant stand dude on the left his face his voice, like on Anchorman his face 😡

  12. Whoa. Had to go back and check to see if I saw that list right.. in what world is Jrue holiday in front of Tatum or Embiid? Specially Embiid. Tristan smokin that flocka…

  13. They both seem like such dope people. Bob seems like such an incredible person to work for too. Warriors are lucky.

  14. Love charles but Meyers isnt it. He says yup to much. Along with yes, yeah, i understand, etc lol he drives into the weirdest questions in the most strange way. Let the guest talk without the pleasantries. Its weird in video. Miht work for u in real life but its weird in vid lol.

  15. the interviewer need to stop inturputing, ask noncoherent irrelivent questions, and after hearing sir charls story and say sth abt it, this guy asks another question.but sir charls is a great interviewee

  16. My goodness BOB, speaking LOUDLY as possible so u dont have to hear chuck and make sure he hears u, is annoying, and ignorant..carry on

  17. Notice Charles did not mentioned Dr J, whom he played with at Philly. Dr J put NBA back in the map when he went from ABA to NBA. I believe Dr J was not serious about the game on his way out and Charles was hungry to get a ring.

  18. I’ve always been on the fence about Charles but after watching this I’m definitely on his side of the fence. What a good man and he is a roll model.
