  1. Another fantastic video. So glad someone has decided to explain the difference between ground forces and lateral movement, but how they’re also simultaneous during the downswing. Thanks!

  2. Great advice – I tried this at the range on Sunday and I had that feeling of adding pressure through the ground on the back swing and struck it so good – great video 👍

  3. So the weight transfer happens at the beginning of the downswing? I though we transferred weight in conjunction with the strike of the ball (i.e., transfer of weight corresponds with release of hands). This could be a game changer.

  4. A good push with the lead foot make you turn without thinking of it. Try the force pedal and gain one club with 4/6 mph swingspeed. Awesome and great great turn

  5. Excellent instruction ! Pete's swing is the way to go !!! Happy 4th of July too !!

  6. Thanks! As always your videos provide me with verification the things I'm working on I'm doing correctly

  7. Another brilliant video Andy! Question for you… I won't try to take this on the course with me this week… I'm playing McDonald Portal on Thursday in a comp (friendly Travel related event) Any tips?! Will take this info to the range later in the week!

  8. I am definitely guilty of the ‘standing up’ part. How does this video correlate to all the data available now on pressure shift happening early in the backswing (getting it back to the front foot early)?

  9. This video is double decent! Went to the range this morning after watching this and have never hit a ball like it. Cheers mate!

  10. Tour players actually have about 80% of pressure in the trail foot at the ‘top’ of the backswing (80% of which is toward the heel). They then shift pressure and weight to the lead side toe then push back into the heel and extend fully

  11. Every morning that I see a new instructional I set up phone and practice your tips while watching. Thanks Andy!

  12. Another great explanation of the golf swing! Lifting up at the top of the golf swing is common problem for many golfers. As you explained, it decreases the tension of the body coil and robs clubhead speed. Many golf instructors tell their students to keep their head still during the swing which is intended to eliminate the head lift. Unfortunately, too many golfers over emphasize this tip and end up with their head behind the lead hip during the follow through swing which causes them to flip the club in order to finish the swing. As you explained, proper weight transfer means the head needs to follow the body through the turn and swing finish. Thanks for sharing!

  13. on that downswing the big idea that changed me hugely was pushing the left foot to rotate instead of pulling the right foot. i only realised it ws my weakness in winter when my right foot kept slipping back in the icy snow. but your tip about right knee and ankle will give a go tomorrow !
