  1. Hi! I was waiting for this to come out Eric told me u did another one. I am Eric’s mom. I always hit the like button for u. Enjoy watching you guys. Good luck with your channel.

  2. I remember watching Tom Owens play. After Walton was sidelined in the'78 playoffs, Owens did his best to step up, and had a couple of his best career games He wasn't a spectacular player, but he was solid.

  3. That Rasheed trade was epic. I remember reading a very early mock draft in like '95 in the L.A. Times and they had Rasheed going #1. He was an elite prospect the Blazers hadn't been able to touch in years.

  4. Great video & answer to the questions at the end for me would be Back when Paul George requested a trade out of Indy, when we had 3 first round picks in that upcoming draft. If I’m not mistaken I believe we made an offer for Paul George but didn’t get him because he obviously got traded to OKC instead. There’s no guarantee PG13 would’ve even stayed here but him Next to Dame & CJ would’ve been amazing to see even if it was just for one year

  5. Nice pod. I’ll be back to hear more. Big fan of the callback to past free agency and trades. That was fun💪🏾

  6. Love this show. I feel like Rich really meshes well with Eric. You guys bring out the kindness and good vibes in each other. Well done and keep it up!

  7. The one game I went to the year before Portland got Rasheed, was vs the Bullets. When Chris Webber sat for a break, Rasheed came in and started to destroy the Blazers. I still remember thinking, WOW! Chris Webber can’t check back into the game fast enough. The next summer when Portland got Rasheed, I was super excited, because I knew that he would be at least as good as Chris Webber.

  8. Best scenario for us is keeping the 3rd. Sending Ant home to Orlando for the 6th & 11th. Trading little & two 2nds to Minnesota for Kyle Anderson. Drafting Ausar Thompson & Dereck Lively respectfully at 6th & 11th. Then target Bruce Brown to start at the 2($12M mid) while drafting Scoot for the bench as Dames primary backup.
    We start:
    Dame-Brown-Grant-Anderson-Nurk
    We rotate:
    Scoot-Sharpe-Ausar-Jalen Smith?($8M TE)-Santi Aldama?($2.6M TE)
If the 3rd is miller then use the $8M TE on a backup PG instead of Stiks.
If the 3rd is Amen then change nothing.

  9. If I was in charge of the Blazers, I'd sell the company to Phil Knight and settle all debts, hire Monty Williams as HC, trade Dame for some solid veterans who can guide the young guys (idk maybe trade Dame and Nurkic to Miami for Adebayo, Love, and a bunch of draft picks?), and then rebuild the team around Scoot and Sharpe.
A contending team is just not a reality but, given Portland's history of terrible draft decisions, it doesn't surprise me they're still pursuing it.

  10. In '84 Blazers played the good kind of Russian Roulette with 5 out of 6 bullets in the chamber. They could have picked Jordan, Barkley, Stockton, Otis Thorpe, Kevin Willis or Sam Perkins. But they picked one of the few guys that was a bust.

  11. Things that need to happen if the Portland Trail Blazers are EVER going to be title contenders again: (but are extremely unlikely to happen)

Jody Allen to sell the team to someone who actually cares and will do what needs to be done to keep them in Portland.

Fire Cronin and Billups and hire 2 qualified professionals.

Keep Sharpe and the 3rd pick and PRAY the Hornets pass on Scoot.

Trade Dame for the absolute best haul of pick and young assets you can get. (I know it sucks but at this point it is whats best for the player AND the team)

A total strip down and rebuild needs to be the only way forward. But they will CLING to the idea of "building around Dame" and will mortgage the future in desperate, dumb, gross, overpay trades and will end up MAYBE being a 2nd round team for a year or 2 if they are very lucky. Then, end up stuck paying an old, washed up, Dame 65+ mil a year with none of their own picks for years and years. Resulting in 10 or 15 years of Orlando/Sacramento type cellar dwelling. Perhaps even culminating with the team leaving Portland to move to Vegas or Seattle or somewhere.

  12. You don’t put your ego in front of other fan’s opinions or ideas, that’s gonna attract a lotta Blazer fans. Subscribed.
