  1. Hmmm….I did just learn something. I do the air compressor method, and it usually does the trick. However, I never thought of heating the grip. I bet that will help with the stubborn one.

  2. I had that tool .. ibent & destroyed it so my technique could use some refining

  3. A hacksaw blade works great for getting tape residue out of the grip — the small teeth grab the tape without damaging the inside of the grip

  4. I still find a syringe and thinners works easy, just inject in a few spots and then twist the grip off with no tearing or stretching and no damage to the shaft.

  5. Nice. What about a Jumbomax grip? The top of the grip has a solid foam tip that is very difficult to slide this tool in. Any tips for those?

  6. Love the technique! Was putting off buying a grip removal tool because I thought you just shoved it straight down. Did not think of the spinning.

  7. I have used a similar method for over ten years. This method is superior to the traditional needle method in my opinion.😊

  8. You prefer this method to the air compressor, or inflator?? If so, why? What are the advantages and disadvantages of both methods? Thanks.

  9. I would have used a little cup to catch and reuse the solvent 🤔

  10. As always, very informative. This will definitely speed up my next grip removal.

  13. Great vid, simple technique. Sad to think that 2-3 grips really is pushing $25 USD these days! I remember as a kid getting Golf Pride "Victory Grips" for 89 cents each and re-gripped 1-2 times per year.
