For Saudi's sports-washing to work requires not just buying off the biggest name players. I requires the buy-in and acceptance of golf fans too. Otherwise there is no reputation washing benefit. Well, as a lifelong golf player and fan, I refuse to watch or follow LIV-sponsored events. They're a joke. And without our collective buy-in televised golf will fail. Even the blood-money rich Saudi's – let alone tv advertisers – will not continue to throw money at a failed league. They'll just invest in sports that provide a return. Period – end of story.
