Great stuff 👍
Old-School bodybuilders were ingenious physique architects. They had a profound knowledge of the principles of proper nutrition, smart supplementation, exercise science and muscle adaptability. If you combine Old-School bodybuilding wisdom with modern, evidence-based science, it's the best, safest, most effective way in achieving a strong, sexy, healthy and aesthetic physique. Vintage Physique by George Kelly is a nice read on the topic.
Who is the gentleman with the tiny waist rolling his stomach at @2 minutes and 22 seconds and the gentleman rolling his stomach at 8 minutes, please? To confirm my understanding you said that muscle control while lifting lighter weights becomes aerobic and therefore burns subcutaneous fat. Is that correct?
Excellent breakdown 👏 Never knew the term Maxalding .
I was a powerlifter when we joined the army in 1980. When I got out of Basic Training I looked like a bodybuilder. No barbells in basic training back then . This is why I agree with Vince Gironda, light weight and high reps can sculpture a great body.
Would it not be similar to HIIT but at a moderate intensity? Or similar to rest/pause for the pump and blood flow while getting the benefits of the stimulating reps and decreased time training?
Awesome!!
Old school bodybuilders were really ripped.Mixing different methods of training. Very insightful video nice one.
I have a similar way of training. For one thing, I only do 15 reps of any workout I do. And the way I go about it is by starting out with very light weights and applying heavier weights as I go, until I reach a weight I cannot perform for 15 reps. This method has worked wonders for me. Not saying it would work for everyone else. But it works for me.
I’d love to see a video on The Daily Dozen and it’s creator! I have his books and it’s missing from todays systems as well!
These bronze eta into early silver are my favorite topics. Usability = 100
I think you are changing the future of training with this videos about Muscle Control. You are recovering something very valuable with it. Thank you for your work!
This channel is goated
My stomach vacuum is horrible I wish you made your own stomach vacuum program. Maybe do a stomach vacuum challenge!.
Phil Heath trains like this..He never really used heavy weights and was concentrating on squeezing and flexing the muscles. Total control of the rep from start to finish… It plays a major part in developing muscles 100%
I'm fairly new to this(2 years in) and I've done this but I didn't know this was an actual thing😂, cool👍
7:15 💛💛🔥
This is incredibly interesting – I wonder where one could learn more about this method
Muscle control is just squeezing,if you can't squeeze the muscle it means it's too much weight and inefficient for building muscle, that's it
Starting out I didn’t have a lot of weights and when they got lighter for me, I would engage the muscle/group I was wanting to emphasize more than required to lift the weight. Pretty cool to see how weightlifters of different times were conscious about this stuff. There’s nothing new under the sun.
Thanks Carlos
I started my bodybuilding journey in an old school gym. I learned about this concept there.
Another fascinating & useful video, thanks
They all take STEROIDS!
Stay natural buddy!
Based upon your interview with Robbie Robinson, for the past month, I have been practicing flexing. Posing. Especially arms and chest (no one can tell I am flexing). I do it while walking around. On the trains. When I wake up in the mornings. I flex my bis / tris / chest as hard as I can. A lot. To be clear, I flex by bi's especially as hard as i can, until I feel they're about to burst, which is at most around a minute. And, I do feel stronger. Tell ya, my arms hurt. In a good way, but man they do hurt.
Back in the 70s there was a professional wrestler Hans Mortier who would ripple a muscle, after it was struck by his opponent. He was famous for rolling his abs vertically. In his day I never witnessed another wrestler who could do that. Unfortunately I could not find any videos of his matches on YT.
