Q.
What are your options for your ball stuck in a tree?

A.
You could play it as it lies; or
You could choose to take an unplayable for a penalty of one, by either:
1. Going back to your last place played (green = place, teeing area = tee/place, general area/bunker/penalty area = drop), or
2. Drop a ball within one club-length of a reference point, that is on a line back behind where the ball is at rest. The ball is not permitted to come to rest closer to the hole than the reference point you have chosen, or
3. Drop within two club-lengths of where the ball lays (the reference point is the spot on the ground directly below), no nearer the hole.
