Jalen Brunson has been underrated since entering the NBA Draft despite being named the College Player of the Decade. 32 players went before them so this is a look at where they are now and why Jalen took so long to prove doubters wrong.

  1. "The ONE difference between this years miserable Knicks and this years playoff team is Jalen Brunson." Not accurate. Josh Hart says hello. Isaiah Hartenstein also says to give him a call

  2. Jalen Brunson is extremely athletic he’s just not tall. He’s bulked considerably and now he’s really strong however which means he can bang in the paint. Ofc he’s very skilled and has great bball iq as well

  3. Jalen is very good. But saying he’s already as good as CP3 is pushing it way too far.

Brunson is appearing to be one of the better point guards in his draft so far. (Luka and SGA clearly the best. And most people would likely put Trae next but if you wanna make a case for Brunson, that’s fine).

CP3 is one of the best point guards … in NBA history. Not just debatably top 3 in one single draft. Lmao.

Kind of a difference there … lol

  4. Dude yea he was a great boost but knicks still faced bad losses sometimes even with Brunson albeit less. Josh Hart was the main glue guy that REALLY boosted them into not being mid anymore. The fact you’re on Brunson’s dick and not giving Hart any credit is crazy. I know he only played 25 games after the trade but still went 14-9 with him too. You’re starting to make me question you, Casey. I like you but damn….

  5. Mavs messed up but it felt like he was going to the Knicks even before the trade deadline. Mavs should of signed him before the season even started. If you thought what the knicks paid him was a great deal well imagine him playing on a 15 to 20 mil on a contract

  6. He's not big, athletic or super quick and they devalued him coming out of college. He just gets the job done. He keeps proving the doubters wrong. It's crazy that it has taken this long due to him always showing that he could play. The Mavs and Cuban messed up. Glad Leon Rose saw what others didn't.

    Go Knicks!!!

  7. As a Mavs fan I love to see JB succeeding in NY. But I hate how everyone blames the Mavs for him leaving. He was going to leave anyways. The Knicks GM was his ex agent, his dad was signed as an assistant coach, he’s talked about growing up in NY and wanting to be a knick and he has a chance to be the Knicks #1 option and not play behind Luka? His mind was set before the season ended.

  8. Mavs signed Brunson to that three-year deal as a second-round pick, so then they’d have the option of letting him hit RFA after that third season OR they ride out his small salary for the fourth year (which they did).

in hindsight, it was bad letting it ride out. but we’ve seen teams like Denver decline the fourth year option on deals (with Jokic), and then definitively re-sign them as a RFA.
