Golf Tips – Improve Your Putting Distance Control – Bob Rotella Putting Method Lesson

In this video I feature a putting lesson where I pass on the Bob Rotella method for putting which is all about not letting your brain get in the way and focusing on the smallest most minute target.
It sounds like hocus pocus till you try it.
I have found it to be particularly good for distance control on long putts and long putting.

I have been a low handicap golfer for over 30years.

  1. Appreciate your videos. Easy to apply and they make sense related to freeing you up. As opposed to staring at the ball before applying the stroke, have you ever experimented with looking at a spot right in front of the ball that’s on your intended line? I’ve just recently started practicing this as it seems to free me up from the (hitting) of the stroke and allows me to visualize it more as I’m now rolling it over the beginning of the intended line! Appreciate your thoughts! Thanks

  2. "Aim small miss small".
From 'The Patriot' movie. Might not have been a big hit in the UK 😉

  3. I no longer use a line on the ball or anything for that matter. When I did I was always saying, "well that's not EXACTLY on line but…". Now I concentrate on where I really want to hit the ball much better. The line was a distraction all this time.

  4. I love the video, I'm pretty sure this works in life too, not just on the putting green 😊
