  1. I’ve never tried the SEED ball, but it certainly interests me, I have used the VICE PRO for the last few seasons, I really like it, but these have been getting gradually more expensive, still not at PRO V1 price, but getting up there, so the I’d love try these! 👍🏻

  2. I switched from pro V1x to seed SD 02 a couple of years ago. Can’t tell the difference between the two. Great ball for a great price.Planning to give the SD 01 a try shortly. Thanks for the review Andy. Excellent as always.

  3. Looking much more snazzy dressed with the sponsor gear👍🏼. I recently bought Adidas golf trousers and feel over dressed but they feel fantastic on the warmer summer days. Yet to try them during the cooler winter months. 🏌🏻‍♂️

  4. Andy, I love playing the titleist pro v but over the past several years have finally settled on playing the vice golf that I’m my opinion provides near identical performance at a much lower price range. As an average golfer I can’t justify the cost of golf balls when I lose them. At one time I had migrated to Kirkland’s but eventually could tolerate the increase in spin rates from my tee shots. My friends found similar result. The seed has been in my radar since last year I may now give this a try this coming season.

  5. I have tried these and they are unbelievable around the green with the best check I’ve ever seen. Unfortunately they mark up so bad after just a few shots that they are unplayable

  6. Great review. Tried Seed a couple of years back on your recommendation and not looked back, great balls. Have been using the SD-X1 for a while, but will likely switch back to the new SD-01 now. Re the dry data question: yes, think it can add another dimension to the review and I think alot of people like to 'see the numbers'…keep up the great work, thanks.

  7. I have problem with these copy cats, I worked in an industry where we were the leaders with patents and spent large amounts of money doing research. Everyone was copying our products without spending the money to do their own research and violating our work! I see these golfball companies as the same and will never reward them by buying their products! Titleist does the work and has the quality by spending huge amounts of money. I'm sorry but I will never buy their shortcuts!

  8. Great headline – I thought it was describing you and Titleist equipment!

  9. Thanks for the review Andy. I started using Seed SD-X1 last year, I'm not going back to Pro V1 anytime soon. Seed makes a great ball at a great price!

  10. The question I ask is: What priceperformance will make me switch from Costco Kirkland V2 golf balls?

  11. Andy, I use the Vice Pro Plus 28.99 USD. 4 piece, great spin, great feel, great distance and I wait and get free personalization. Best I have used to include Pro vs.

  12. Have been waiting for the next gen SD01 to come out, will be ordering my SD01AF today just in time for the new season. Great review pity people are too blinkered to think outside the norm.

  13. Seed balls have been great over the last few years , my only gripe was posting cost from Ireland but now they have a base in the uk so no problems and even more value with costs, a great ball 👍

  14. Hi Andy I always love your enthusiasm 👍, even when testing a dubious quality golf ball 🤔, a big red flag was the tech picture (looks like it was a quick cheap nock up) without any technical info😮, like to see testing of budget golf balls from manufacturers with trusted quality like Mizuno, PXG, who invest time & money & development in bringing us New Golf Balls 👍, Thanks Andy Dickey 9hcp 76year senior golfer

  15. Tried the previous SD-01; a bit firm for me swinging at just under 90mph. I really like the SD-05, which I can get for around A$40/doz, but does not come in green. I'm finding the green far easier to see in the air. If the new model is a bit softer, I might have to sample a few!

  16. Impartial review 🤔 nothing to do with being sponsored by them i guess and they wanted a video putting out to promote their new ball 😂 ordinary like your content but cant look beyond the arrangement you have with the brand.

  17. I’ve switched from PROV1’s to Maxfli CG Pro or the new VICE Pro. Both play well in my opinion. I’ve asked before, what’s your handicap because I feel your an ABOVE average player…

  18. I've tried Seed – as you know – and while I like them and would happily use them, I'm not persuaded by their Sales model. Thankfully, I don't loose enough balls to consider a monthly subscription to be required and if the truth be told, I'm not sufficiently organised to buy on a Just In Time basis through the post.

  19. Now I'm completely confused. Seed-01 is on their website described as playing hard, like a ProV1x. Surely this can't be the case based upon Andy's review. Old model not yet updated?

  20. I need durability in my golf balls– a yellow Pro V1 will survive a nuclear war. A 2$ ball that scuffs easily doesn't really help me unless I am playing a ball eater course where I am not expecting a ball to last a round.

  21. Tried Seed. Feeling was terrible compared to wilson staff or bridgestone BRXS. Found distance was very inconsistent. Sorry just my thoughts.

  22. In order to switch, the DTC and more value priced options would need to convince me that they have the same quality control as titleist. It’s not about good ball performance vs good ball performance. It’s about how many lopsided balls are in a box. The mygolfspy reviews have shown us that most brands have poor quality control and you get a few lemon every couple of dozen balls. It’s the consistency of the balls that is the real problem. I don’t trust any review that doesn’t cut open a dozen or a couple dozen balls to examine the quality control. If you aren’t inspecting the quality control then you’d have to hit 20 shots with at least a dozen balls and compare the data to see how consistent the performance is across the balls. I can learn any ball and adapt to it. But you can’t adapt to when you pull the lemon ball out of the box and it doesn’t roll / fly straight because the cover thickness isn’t even.
