Had a family of grass roots racers correct me on this pronunciation in the elevator yesterday.
Straight out of the Northeast and it’s definitely New Sm’yrna.
I'm from the north candy-ass and I pronounce it the proper way so don't be telling the world that it's only the northern people that can't pronounce the name of the track tell my 12 year old grandson can pronounce it properly you ever thought that it may be the ones that have not had proper schooling in English

Now I question where I'm from
i am Canadian and I always say New Sm ear na not new smer na and you can't get more northwen than me.
I would definitely drink some beer with Dilner.
