  1. Please explain concerning the ball stopping quickly once the ball hits the green. What is the take away concerning this? Having the golf ball run out after it hits the green is very frustrating. I want the ball to stop as quickly as possible. Thx

  2. Srixon and Mizuno are the two I’d test. (Both companies doing very well at the moment without all the shouty shouty stuff that the ‘bigger’ manufacturers seem to love)

  3. 4:10 Look at the loft on these game improvement 7 irons, extremely low loft from all brands. Then show me a high handicap golfer who has a high swing speed and problems with too high launch, yeah exactly just about noone. The problem with manufacturers is that they are not using their brains, they think a high handicap golfer is going to benifit from low loft because they are going to hit the ball further when in fact their number one problem is getting the ball high enough. Low loft means low launch angle and loft is your number one friend when you're a beginner. This is why the manufacturers must stop this nonsense with low lofted beginner irons, stupidity! A 7 iron should have 34 degrees of loft as minimum on beginner irons, anything else is pure madness. And then these over exaggerated offsets, it is not easier to hit a ball because the blade is further back, that is absolute nonsense, it just promotes to thin it because the shaft is so much ahead of the leading edge. When I started playing golf I actually got better the moment I went away from game improvement irons and bought a players iron set because these game improvement irons are a joke and benifit absolutely noone. The only distinction between a game improvement iron and a players iron should be a hotter face, wider sole and a longer blade length, anything else is just a false sales pitch.

  4. Brother bought the Mizuno 923 HM and they are great but like the Callaway Rouge ST MAX OS Better for Distant.. Short shots Mizuno was better.

  5. Nice pick. Srixon looks beautiful and the sole makes it one of the most forgiving irons available.

  6. Played G400s, then G425s and was ready to put 430s in the bag but after a fit, Mizuno JPX 923s are my irons for 2023. Was surprised they pulled me away from Ping but I couldn't argue with the feel and look of them.

  7. Great review as always most interesting. I’m playing T300 which are great and will be testing Callaway, Taylormade and Ping at my club so should be interesting. Will probably test the Wilson as have had their irons in the past and are not only good but great value. The Z4 look very nice too.
