Costco have done it again! This iron could KILL all of the giants of the game in 2023! This could be the iron to beat in 2023 for price and performance. If we think of irons we think of the Cobra Forged tec irons, taylormade P790’s, Taylormade stealth, Callaway APEX but these are all top of the range and very expensive… Have costco done it again and made a giant killer just like their kirkland golf balls and kirkland golf glove?

We look into the new irons on the block for 2023 and have COSTCO HAVE released IRON TO KILL THE P790

  1. Here's the thing….I love Costco, but at Golfworks, you can get forged head, custom made, UST Recoil shafts for less. I'm not saying that the Costco clubs aren't very reasonably priced, but DTC and component companies have been doing this for years, and they are 100% custom.

  2. Costco has certain requirements and for all their products before they will sell them. Most golf clubs are over priced based on sales hype

  3. With all the new clubs and fittings , in the past 25 years, handicaps have not dropped.

  4. Once Kirkland adds a driver/fairway line that stacks up to the top brands folks will be able to game a full bag for amazing prices.

  5. They don't have to cheap out on shaft or grip. They don't have to pay Rory, Tiger, Dustin..etc. Their wedges are fantastic. Only standard setups is the biggest problem if you don't play a standard club length/lie.

  6. People have all this wrong…why would i get fit for something i can bring back if it doesnt work out?…people wont bring them back, the second hand market for costco stuff is hot,so they will keep their value as well…also,p790's are players distance irons…if thats your level of golf, you already know what numbers/specs you need…the fitting aspect is negligable in this case…

  7. I have been using the Kirkland KS1 putter and the wedges for the past year. Wedges are good very controllable, putter for a blade good, i went for the weight kit too. The irons will be of interest, for a box set of fordge irons good. £400-450 uk, they will be reg flex shaft and reg velvet grips. Suits me reg flex suits me and many at 80mph swing speed. 1inch extension. Grips £100 lets you fit your exact grip and thickness.
UK stock will be sold out 1 batches or £650 on ebay. So likely 2024 before there is a real chance to obtain. I found it cheaper to but my kirkland clubs from the USA to the UK, than buy here too to date.

  8. I use the v2 balls and gloves. I hope they tone down the branding on the back of the iron and keep them more clean like the Tokomo's, I reckon it would do better with more serious golfers.

  9. They could go down the inesis route of 'club fitting' but I don't see that happening

  10. I cannot wait for the release. I know that once they are released, there will be tons of reviews on YouTube and I will base my decision to purchase at that time. BTW, I play a Cobra Cavity back iron set from 1999. The Kirkland's must be more advanced technologically than what I have!!!

  11. Would like more info regarding who is manufacturing these clubs for Kirkland, Japan, Korea, USA ?? What technology and design, did Kirkland hire a new golf design crew?? Either way I am so glad these are coming out, I hope they take a large chunk out of the big name brand companies and force them to lower their prices. Have been playing golf since the mid 1980's I feel the price of new equipment has been ruining golf for the average weekend player.

  12. Cheap is cheap
It’s never going to be as good and or will the player have any confidence in a Costco club no matter what it’s a discount club . And plus if one of my buddies bought them and showed up to play a round with them we would all make fun of them 😂

  13. Not a big fan of the wedges, but the putter (with weights) has been money for me. Main reason they can keep the price so low is $0 marketing/sponsorships and direct-to-consumer at mass manufacturing volume.

  14. if the big brands weren't paying all these pro players millions every year then club prices would probably be 30-50% cheaper

  15. I love Kirkland products but I would rather find a set of premium irons on the used market. They can be had if you look hard enough
