What loft DRIVER are you using now? Would you consider using more loft to hit it longer?
I have a stealth plus with 10.5 degree loft turned up to about 12 degree’s.
Great info to listen to. Ty so much on how you verbally tell it. Being visually impaired helps a ton
I'm 61 and have a 12.5 degree Cleveland launcher which saved my driver game.
Could you do a video on how to keep arms and hands related in golf swing. I tend to tighten up and strangle the grip. Which doesn't allow me to rotate hands through swing.
Have TaylorMade Sim driver at 9.5 degrees, tried increasing the loft to 10.5, but just did feel right. Need to try again, I think, because my swing speed isn't as fast as it use to be! Thanks, be safe, be cool! Beach, NC
I really struggle to get distance with my driver. I have a slow swing speed but find my Driver goes just as far as my 3 wood which is very frustrating. Driver is a Wilson D9, 10.5 degree. Will try the tips in the video to see if I can gain anymore distance 👍
Nothing wrong with driver loft going up generally straighter too. John rahm is 11+ degrees.
I’m only 6-7 months in so I purchased a Ping G400 2nd hand. 12.5 degree and I love it. Really liking your videos mate they have helped my game so much so a MASSIVE THANK YOU
Well done alex 🏌♂️ 🙂 👍
Last 5 drivers I've had were fitted and I got into a 7.5 loft every time
I have my eyes on all the new stuff. Driver, wood, hybrid, irons…but I love my set…that’s what I keep telling myself, lol. I have an awesome set, which I love. I have to keep saying it so I don’t spend $4,000 lol
My plan is to continue improving with my 10° driver, my 3 hybrid, my players distance/players cavity combo set…and then in 2 or so years, move into a full cavity set, a driving iron instead of a hybrid, and a lower lofted driver. Obviously my plan is to get much faster than the 103 swing speed I’m pushing now. Because of videos like yours, I keep on improving my game, so keep it coming Alex. And come to the states so I can tee it up with you.
G430 max for me Alex
Mate legend. For me I have. 9.5 degree driver and it’s a peach. I still manage to get too much spin. But this is only because I follow them last two tops you said, sometimes I just get too much under the ball. I’m in the middle of trying to control club face and control during impact.
Cheers
Ben 👍🏻
Loft is your friend. I had a 10.5 degree and switched to a 12 degree. Holy Moly. What a difference.
Thanks Alex for another great drill
Ping G senior shaft seemed to little longer drives on 11.1 degrees . Starting in the spring with G425 and the lighter 40 gram Distanza shaft . I will be 74 years old this summer and thought a lighter shaft might help , I will start off on 10,5 and go from there . All courses around Sullivan Indiana are closed until first of March , Enjoy your lessons so I subscribed .
This is extremely misleading .Me and the boys have done exhausting testing on this issue . You may gain a yard or two in carry but you will guarantee no roll out . Spin will go up not yardage . Be careful thinking lofting up is a panacea . For most of us who tried this it just didn’t produce in almost all situations 🙈⛳️🏌🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
Golf, the game which survives by convincing its players that they can, with plenty of practice with <enter whatever regime here>, play way beyond their means.
Would not consider. Higher than 10 degrees and I'm hitting moonballs that just spin out.
My club head speed is anywhere between 104 and 109mph and I am using an old Cobra F8+ that definitely needs an upgrade. The loft is 9.5.The shaft is an Adila x stiff.None of my clubs are fitted which I definitely need to change.
My spin is over 3000rpms and attack angle is 70-80% on the up by 2/3 degrees on the flight scope.
Good video thanks
Alex where would you position driver head behind golf ball regarding low point.
There's a dude I know with a slower swing speed that was fitted into a SIM2 Max driver at 8 degrees lofted down a degree and a ultra light 45 gramme stiff shaft.
It's hilarious how far his ball goes for his swing speed.
I currently have Ping G425 10.5 loft. Am looking at the new Ping G430 High Launch as am a senior golfer with 80mph swing speed. Not committing to buying until i have a fitting to ensure i get the correct spec. Am a recent subscriber and love the content. Cheers! Brian
Callaway paradyne HD. Reports seem to indicate it would be good for a senior high handicapper but it’s a lot of money!
I have a 10 degree TSi3. Thanks to TopTracer at our range, I'm now launching 12-14 degrees, with 155 ball speed (depending on strike), but I have the driver lofted up (B2 – 10.75). Before I was manufacturing loft and my dynamic loft was stupid, so now my ball speed is up, and launch is better. I can use charts to guess what my spin is but that will change from the vertical position on the face at impact, but now I can manage the misses too because I'm now able to see the ball data. Gives me more confidence heading into the season knowing that the worst shots are way better than before, but the good shots, will be as close to optimised as I can get.
I tried hitting a 9.5º driver a few times and it just felt like hitting it with a plank of wood. The piece of sting thing, what a visual THAT is 👍
I've been told that I'm a low launch and a low spine swinger. I play a 10.5 lofted up to 12.5 helps a little but I'm also a drawer, so yes thinking of purchasing a higher lofted driver this year, not sure which one. ??
My previous gamer was a Callaway XR 10.5 upped to 12.0. Then I went for a fitting for the new 2022 PXG 0211. Fitter said my XR had to high a launch angle and too much spin. He fit me for 9.0 and upped it to 10.0 and opted for a Fujikura Motore X3 shaft. Gained 20 yds ! Trackman showed my avg swing speed at 78mph.
Ping 430..currently got 425s throughout
