As soon as a putt has break on it, the pace that you role the ball at, determines the amount of break. Focusing on perfect pace (half a putter length past the hole) will allow you to become a far better reader of greens because you will have better feedback if you manage to roll the ball at a good hole out speed. You will avoid 3 putts more and be surprised at how many putts fall in without quite hitting the line that you wanted/expected.
