  1. Been waiting for this one! Hit them the other day. Such a solid iron. Tested the i525 previously and been waiting for this. Defiantly a contender to replace the MP20’s. Consistent and forgiving without being crazy like the i525. Would probably only play them up to 6 iron.

  2. Sorry Ping, £999 for 6 piece set with cast clubheads is just too much. Many of the same components as previous releases . I understand costs go up, but for iron sets to be 20/30% up whilst losing an iron is not acceptable.

  3. I hit it back to back with i59 and I thought the i59 was better. The i230 certainly went a lot farther for me. I think I woudl rather have those Gen 5 PXG.

  4. I know it's not the focus of the video, but your comments about the Ping HydroPearl technology are making me wonder how it compares to the Mizuno HydroFlow microgroove technology. I recall in your review of the T22 wedges you were extremely impressed by their ability to retain near-identical performance either wet or dry. I'd love a comparison video between these two, as they often get mentioned in the context of wet environments.

  5. Do you guys know if ping just bends the stock head for power and retro spec or do they make a different head for each to keep offset/bounce the same for each spec?

  6. Went to your parent and was looking to re-shaft P790's… but had been a Ping fan for years, Eye2 days… Found shaft that was good on distance for P790 but dispersion was left and right, and then said let's hit the i230…. The dispersion was off the charts and night and day. Not much distance loss, and felt great. OTi 105s shafts for me. On order now…. 🙂

  7. Very similar looking to my 210s. Nice clubs. I have to say that the minutes I had before felt nicer, but the 210s were more forgiving. The best golf I played was with old Wilson deep reds…but I was younger and fitter then!

  8. Ping bought so many Nike patents, X3X grooves being one of them. Nike was the 1st to use this many grooves, now Ping uses it. Also that honeycomb patter in the crowns of there drivers, Nike did that to reduce weight and place it other places. Nike driver( Covert, Vapor) were 205grams very heavy by industry standards, Ping used that concept as well.

  9. It's hard to relate to these reviews as the dude swings so hard and fast. If we could have an average swing speed that hits an 8 iron 150-155y as a baseline, we can see if these clubs perform longer or similarly.

  10. I’m going to start my lessons this month purely to try and become good enough to own a set of these. My G25’s are ready to be traded in. They’re gorgeous
