A true legend. The man had a clock in his head.
Superb – lots of wonderful memories.
Cauthen a great jockey who new how to ride from the front properly.
He was brilliant . Good man too
Wow what a fantastic interview, and so many memories of a world class jockey and great horses. we had some right jockeys in those days, imagine if he was about today, he would probably win everything
Wasn't my generation but interesting watch for sure
I won £900 on Oh So Sharp that he rode in 1000 Guineas .He was the best jockey at that time.
Top jockey, unbelievable skills on a horse, I saw the greats In the the 1970 and 1980 you were special one of a kind
Greatest American jockey ever, at the very least..Nice bloke also.
My favourite flat jockey. Flat racing since he retired hasn't been the same for me.
Excellent interview.
My favourite jockey the was million miles ahead off his time
One of the best jockey's of all time.
Thank you, an excellent watch,Steve Cauthen is a great guy .
Probably about the 3rd best jockey ever to ride in the UK behind Lester piggot and Ralph Havlin.
Champion Jockey one of the best
Wow that was absolutely brilliant!!
Really enjoyed that interview . Great memories .
I walked into a William Hill bookies sometime in the summer of 87, put 20 quid on Cauthen's mount, Perfect Timing in the first race. It romped home at 8/1. Cauthen was brilliant
Boy Wonder..one of the greatest jockeys of all time
Steve looks like he fell out of the sky from the 1970's like some sort of police DI on TV. where do you even get someone to cut his hair like that.
My all-time sporting hero, met Steve and Henry many times always fantastic times I spent with them either at Warren place or at the race courses . The bookies used to call me the Cecil/Cauthen bookie bashers.
Best ever era of horse racing the 80s and Early 90s
Got many books about Steve and Henry all signed by the legends themselves. Always happy days. 1987 my fav year

Oh so many to mention
The only time I witnessed Steve Cauthen being outridden was by Lester Piggott in the 1984 St Leger , where his mount , Bayoun lost out to Piggott's Commanche Run .
Steve was a natural jockey and a very good horseman he was better than most of our jockeys
Excellent interview, good questions. Amazing memory by Steve Cauthen, great to see him again on these shores.
Also good to hear race reader Tony Cooke on Steve’s 1979 Guineas.
D boss
A special treat to hear that lovely voice again. Thank you Steve, for travelling over for the Jubilee.
