  1. Looks like my old 1958 Acushnet Bullseye (that I still have). The Brass head on the Titleist and Acushnet versions made them heavier and they were the number one seller back in the late 1950s through the mid 1960s

  2. If you buy this putter, if it works, you keep it, if it doesn't, you sell it. You are not talking a great expense. What have you got to lose?

  3. Putting after reading the green is more mental and feel than anything else. You could use a rock on a stick and sink everything in site. It's the number 1 seller because most people looking to try golf aren't dropping 3-4 hundred on a putter.

  4. I got a bullseye with a brass head and hickory shaft. Been dropping some bombs lately, as I was considering pulling it out. Now it's going to be staying in the bag at least for now. 😂

  5. I have two putters. A newer Odyssey 2 ball and an old Jack Nicklaus blade like this. I play the Odyssey 80% of the time but I know in the back of my mind I like the old blade better. I guess I play the Odyssey because "it's better"…. I see a lot of that in golf.

  6. I have a Wilson Augusta bullseye putter that I've owned for decades. I use it once in a while and can still putt well with it.

  7. Recommendation: find an old Acushnet Bullseye centre shaft putter. Same basic design, but beautifully made back in the '60 and '70. (I still play the blade version.)

  8. No. The Standing Putter is the number one seller. Yours is from a sponsored ad not sales. You are losing your credibility.

  9. …or, you can go down to your local Goodwill or Play-It-Again-Sports and, for maybe $14.99, get a genuine Bullseye putter. That putter looks like the ones they used to throw in with the 9-club starter sets at Kmart. I assume this review was done tongue firmly in cheek, a kind of send-up of YouTube golf gurus' reviews of the way-overpriced $400 putters pushed by the major manufacturers. If so, good one!

  10. Have a Macgregor Golden Bear putter that I get out now and then. I actually added a counter balance grip. It's huge but actually helps with the light putter head to keep steady.

  11. I use a very old (1970's?) Wilson Patty Berg brass putter. Cost me £7 (about $10) when I bought it second hand in the early 80s. Never used if off the tee (!), but it is great on the greens.

  12. Thats the same putter I won the mini-golf championship with a score of 20 back in 1975!!!!!!! Its the same club I used for 10 years after that.

  13. Originally introduced in the mid-1940s by John Reuter Jr., Inc., your "classic" is a Bulls Eye putter – originally made by Acushnet. Solid brass head, comes in several weights, you can find lots on Ebay, etc. used. They work! Johnny Miller won quite a few with it and other notables. Mine is 25 yrs. old, polish it up once in a while to admire the brass finish.

  14. As an amazon PPC consultant my guess is it’s selling well because of its low $24.99 price point and good performance given the price. Amazon ranks what sells the best the highest.

  15. How does the ball feel off the face compared to a more expensive putter?

  16. Putters are over-priced. That's why 8ts the best selling putter on Amazon, my guy. Mofos out here struggling, but we still need to get this golf in. Personally I've tried to never spend more than $5 on a club.
