I play with a wide variety of people who have a wide skill range. I’d say the most common barrier I see among players in the game, are those who either throw exclusively backhand or those who throw exclusively forehand. Today, I’m going to launch myself from the fence, sitting between the two into the forehand camp for a forehand only round!
I absolutely love throwing forehands, and I believe it is the easiest way to gain distance early on in your disc golf career. The ceiling or requirement to get a disc to rotate at its required speed is much lower when throwing forehands. This happens for a variety of reasons, but so often I hear people tell me they don’t have a forehand. So today I’m going to demonstrate one of my favorite ways to improve at forehands…force yourself to use it!! How does a round go when I’m only throwing forehands (putts included)?? You’ll have to watch to find out!!
