To do this, i looked at the ages of golfers during the most dominant seasons in pga tour history. This is based on the 22 greatest pga tour seasons ever, ranked (link: [https://golf.com/news/the-22-greatest-pga-tour-seasons-of-all-time-ranked/](https://golf.com/news/the-22-greatest-pga-tour-seasons-of-all-time-ranked/)):

* Tom Watson 1980 (age 30-31)
* Nick Price 1994 (age 36-37)
* Jack Nicklaus 1963 (age 22-23)
* Tom Watson 1977 (age 27-28)
* Tiger Woods 2002 (age 26-27)
* Sam Snead 1950 (age 37-38)
* Lee Trevino 1971 (age 31-32)
* Vijay Singh 2004 (age 40-41)
* Sam Snead 1949 (age 36-37)
* Jack Nicklaus 1975 (age 34-35)
* Tiger Woods 2005 (age 29-30)
* Jordan Spieth 2015 (age 21-22)
* Ben Hogan 1946 (age 33-34)
* Arnold Palmer 1960 (age 30-31)
* Jack Nicklaus 1972 (age 31-31)
* Ben Hogan 1948 (age 35-36)
* Arnold Palmer 1962 (age 32-33)
* Tiger Woods 2006 (age 30-31)
* Ben Hogan 1953 (age 40-41)
* Bobby Jones 1930 (age 27-28)
* Byron Nelson 1945 (age 32-33)
* Tiger Woods 2000 (age 24-25)
Out of these 22 observations, the following can be deduced:
1. 3 players were in the 20-24 age group (including overlaps).
2. 4 players were in the 25-29 age group (including overlaps).
3. 10 players were in the 30-34 age group (including overlaps).
4. 5 players were in the 35-39 age group (including overlaps).
5. 2 players were in the 40-45 age group (there were no overlaps).
Based on these figures, it would seem that pro golfers, on average, reach their peak at 30-34/35.
Here are some examples of other good PGA Tour golfers during their statistically best seasons:
* Jim Furyk 2006 (age 35-36)
* Phil Mickelson 2000 (age 29-30)
* Mike Weir 2003 (age 32-33)
* Ernie Els 2002 (age 32-33)
* David Toms 2001 (age 33-34)
* Retief Goosen 2001 (age 31-32)
* Gary Player 1974 (age 38-39)
* Greg Norman 1986 (age 30-31)
* Nick Faldo 1990 (age 32-33)
* Seve Ballesteros 1988 (age 30-31)
* Sergio Garcia 2008 (age 27-28)
There are, of course, many more examples to give, but I shall stick with these for now. once again, the 30-34 age group dominates.

**Its therefore safe to say that professional golfers peak in their early-mid 30s, based on the data given.**
