Isolation has caused some challenges, not least that it has made it harder to exercise as gyms have closed alongside golf courses.
I’m lucky (kind of!) to live with a gym instructor who put me through a pyramid cardio and leg workout which required next to no equipment and certainly got my heart rate up – a little too high actually!
Without my regular 36 holes a week of golf, fitness at home is a priority and this pyramid training method is an effective way to workout!

As promised, the workout is below:
– 5-7 min Dynamic Warm Up – Squat stretches, slow shuttles, dynamic stretching
– 1-10, 10-1 pyramid consisting of 1 squat and 1 x 100m run, 2 squats and 1 x 100m run, repeat up to 10 squats and then back down to 1 keeping the shuttle runs the same. Bodyweight, Dumbbell or Squat Jumps.
– Then 6 sets of 6 Deadlifts, 6 sets of 6 Glute Bridges/Hip Thrusts and 6 Sets of 6 Lunges
– Finish with a good stretch and cool down!
