Hey Quite The Chap here for GolfersRX. Do you have the touch? Are you the boss of the moss? Do you sink everything in sight? Yeah me neither, hence today’s video.

A three foot putt counts the same as a 250 yard drive so it pains me when i miss those three footers. My problem, I’ve got more than one but…my problem when I miss those three footers is that I don’t commit. I give it such a weak stroke that…I can’t even explain it.

Here is a fun challenge to dial in your three footers:

Roll out your putting mat/or use your carpet
Lay down a piece of tape
And lay down another piece of tape 10-18 inches away

Now take three balls
Putt the first one so it makes it over the first piece of tape and doesn’t go past the 2nd piece
Putt the second ball so it makes it past the first ball but not past the 2nd piece of tape
Putt the third ball so it makes it past the 2nd ball but not past the 2nd piece of tape.

That’s hard. You gotta be committed. You can’t make a tentative stroke. This is not about mechanics but about your commitment to the stroke. It’s also a fun challenge that puts a little pressure on while you practice.
