In a prior video we talked about the differences between steel shafts and graphite shafts, especially as it relates to the irons and anything less than a full swing. That original video (also in our library) was done some time ago and as we look to bring you the best information possible, have updated our research and information.

After testing, the UST Recoil 680SC shaft has proven to be on par, if not better than steel. Tight tolerances on manufacturing and advances in technology of graphite have all played a part in this. Other benefits are a much lighter weight than conventional steel shafts. Steel often runs in the 120-130 gram range while the UST Recoil 680SC runs from 68g-82g. This allows you to swing faster and with less effort and a faster swing almost always equates to more distance.

Another benefit is for those that have experienced an injury. The lighter weight mentioned above, obviously helps with that and another benefit is the lighter weight can allow for the clubs to be longer in length and take some pressure off the body.

What is The Golf Paradigm (Pair-a-dime)?
The Golf Paradigm is a theory that encompasses a Whole-In-One approach to improvement. It begins with the overall paradigm; i.e. the game of golf. Followed by two parts that are always to remain in balance; i.e. the golf yin/yang – ‘improving’ and ‘enjoyment’. Helping to maintain that balance are the 5 elements of the game; the swing, club fitting, health/fitness, mental, and integration. Knowing which area to focus on and how the other areas supplement that helps to form the golfers ‘recipe’ for improvement. As the golfer improves their recipe, or what is focused on, changes and this is what allows them to reach levels of play they never thought possible. It’s not magical, but it’s close.
