Today’s video is all about the takeaway, specifically just the first part of the takeaway up until the club is about parallel with the ground.

Let me start by saying getting lessons from a professional would be the best way to improve your golf swing. But for a lot of people they don’t have the time or aren’t willing to make the financial commitment to go get lessons. So you might make your way to a YouTube tips video or golf digest article explaining a fresh new tip to improve your game. Well those tips aren’t always so easy to incorporate into your game as you initially thought. So this video is all about me finding tips that I think will be helpful for my game and perhaps those same tips can improve your golf! I take a couple tips and go through them to see if they work and perhaps most importantly if they can be understood so that it genuinely helps your game.

Today’s tips come from Rick Shiels and Nick Faldo and focus on a couple different parts of the takeaway. Rick Shiels wants to train us to take our arms and hands away from the ball correctly so that we can get them going on the right path straight from the start of the swing. Nick Faldo’s tip centers on weight transfer and the basic way you should think about weight transfer during the swing.

Join me on my journey to improve my game and hopefully you can pick up some great stuff that can help out your game as well!
