The teres is a muscle found in the armpit that assists with rotation of the shoulder. When this is tight it can cause problems on the golf course including slower club head speed and less consistency in ball strike. To release this muscle, use a ball, such as a softball or lacrosse ball and place it at the back of the armpit. Roll onto your side and slowly move the ball until you find a tender spot. Once you find a tender spot, hold the ball on that spot and hold for 30 seconds. Optionally, you can add in small arm circles and rotation of the arm!
