Redwoods Golf Club in Langley hosted two national championships that drew 85 top players from across the country to compete in the 2026 PGA Head Teaching Professional and PGA Head Professional championships of Canada.

Running Oct. 23–26, the 54-hole individual stroke play tournament ended with Calgary’s Eric Locke capturing the Head Teaching Professional title after a back-and-forth battle with Chilliwack’s Kevin Stinson ended in a playoff, while Edmonton’s Adam Bruce completed a wire-to-wire victory at the PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada.

Locke, representing Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club, and Stinson, of Chilliwack Golf Club, finished regulation tied at nine-under-par before Locke secured the national title on the first playoff hole with a bunker shot that left him a tap-in for victory.

“Kevin and I were driving up to the green and we just looked at each other and said, ‘How much fun is this?’” Locke smiled.

Meanwhile, Bruce of Northern Bear Golf Club maintained his four-stroke overnight advantage to win the Head Professional Championship at six-under-par.

“Very unexpected. I’m kind of over the moon,” Bruce said of becoming a national champion.

Bruce made 12 birdies across his three rounds to win.

It was the 51st PGA Head Professional Championship of Canada tournament, established as a national platform for club professionals, executive professionals, and head teaching professionals across the country.
