Does Gary Payton Talk Trash on the Golf Course? 😂🏌️ #Shorts
Gary Payton was one of the greatest trash talkers in NBA history. But does the Seattle SuperSonics legend bring that same attitude to the golf course? 🏀🏌️
Golf Podcasts USA caught up with Gary Payton at the inaugural Golftics Celebrity Golf Classic, held October 19, 2026, at Sand Point Country Club in Seattle, Washington.
During our on-course interview, we couldn’t resist asking The Glove one question: Does Gary Payton talk as much trash on the golf course as he did on the basketball court?
His answer was classic Gary Payton!
The first annual charity golf tournament supported the Gary Payton Glove Foundation and its mission to help young people pursue educational opportunities.
Gary discussed his passion for providing scholarships and helping college-bound students afford important necessities such as textbooks, food, and clothing.
The tournament brought together golfers, charitable supporters, and members of the Seattle sports community for a day of golf, giving back, and friendly competition.
