Bearded Bros Golf Show is back, and this week the golf world delivered one gut-punch after another.
In this episode of Par for the Course, we break down the news that Will Zalatoris will miss the entire 2027 season after confirming his fourth back surgery—a spinal fusion procedure scheduled for late November . We discuss what this means for a career that once looked destined for major championships, and whether a 2028 comeback via the Challenger Series is realistic .
Then, the guys dive into the Kevin Kisner vs. Rory McIlroy feud after Kisner accused Rory of playing in India purely for a $10 million appearance fee, calling his “grow the game” comments “dogs—t” . Rory fired back, and we have thoughts.
Plus, the Champions Tour pension fund controversy. Players like Billy Andrade and Scott McCarron are furious after the PGA Tour cut their retirement fund to zero, with Andrade calling it “criminal” . We talk about the role of private equity and what this signals about the Tour’s new for-profit direction.
