I’m Getting Wrist Surgery… AGAIN
I recently underwent surgery to repair a wrist injury I sustained during my first tournament of the season.
While I had hoped to avoid surgery, after talks with my family, coaches, and athletic training staff I know I made the best decision for my long-term health and my future in the game I love. It’s certainly not how I envisioned the next few months, but sometimes the journey takes an unexpected turn, and I’m choosing to embrace this one with patience, and a whole lot of determination.
Recovery will take time, but I’m incredibly fortunate to be surrounded by amazing people who continue to lift me up, encourage me, and remind me that every challenge is an opportunity to grow. Having the right people by your side makes all the difference, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
A special thank you to Dr. Carlson and the incredible team at HSS in New York for taking such great care of me, and to my teammates, coaches, family, and everyone who has supported me along the way.
For now, it’s all about healing, and trusting the process. I can’t wait to be back with my team, doing what I love. I’ll be back before you know it, stronger and more grateful than ever!

Knee, elbow, wrist, and leg injuries are common due to stress and poor technique.
Golf is no different.
Good luck, Kai! I had to have wrist surgery a few years ago and I found that the most painful part was going to rehab, but it really helped with the healing process!

Surgery on the bone is fine, it’s when tendons are involved is when it gets more difficult. All the best in your recovery!

Well, life is a mystery and has its own way of not letting you get things you really want right away or never. It sucks and it was sad seeing you in pain like that. The last video makes sense now with the farewell and playing with friends in Jupiter for the foreseeable future. I hope you get better soon! You have quite a strength in you—it’s rare and beautiful. You also have a very supportive family, especially your mom. God bless you, Vanessa! I won't complain too much though, because after your surgery last time, we got a huge spike of content pumped out from you. I mean, I like it, I love seeing more Kai! Maybe we will finally get DJ Kai to play us some catchy tunes, or maybe you'll pick up a fun new hobby that fits you well before you come back to the golf course.
