My best handicap was a +7. While currently my wedge swing deviates a bit more from my full swing than I would prefer (not playing any and old habits creeping in), I still believe they should be distinct in certain ways:
1. I prefer wedge swings to be more left posted (pressure left and feel like it doesn’t move as much towards right foot on takeaway). I also tend to be more left bent at the top which helps with points number two and three.
2. I prefer wedge swings to be generally very neutral spin axis or positive (fade)
3. I like my attack angle to be upwards of 10 down and this means my swing direction to achieve a positive spin axis needs to be quite left
4. I don’t want the club rolled and flat halfway back (a full swing has time where this can recover but partial swings have less time).
