Matt Musso breaks down LSU Football’s upcoming SEC showdown against Kentucky and examines Lane Kiffin’s complicated history against the Wildcats. While Kiffin holds a 3-1 record against Kentucky as an SEC head coach, those four games have been decided by just 14 combined points, including Kentucky’s shocking upset of Ole Miss in 2024. Could the Wildcats give Kiffin another scare when LSU travels to Lexington? Musso takes a closer look at Kentucky’s defense under Jay Bateman, the similarities to Mark Stoops’ defensive philosophy, and one major weakness that LSU’s explosive offense could exploit. With Kentucky leading the SEC in quarterback pressures but struggling to prevent big plays, LSU’s balanced rushing and passing attack could present serious problems for the Wildcats. Musso also discusses LSU’s impressive offensive production, Kentucky’s history of upsetting the Tigers at home, and why this matchup could be more intriguing than the betting line suggests. Can Lane Kiffin and LSU take advantage of Kentucky’s defensive struggles, or will another wild night in Lexington create problems for the Tigers?

  1. Ole Miss was always Comparable To Kentucky as a program , now Lane has elevated Ole Miss but they are still not a top tier program because they couldn’t get the recruits, Lane did more with Less at his disposal

  2. "Hasnt struggled against Kentucky " he has never beaten UK by more than 7 when Mark Stoops was at his lowest.

He is extremely overrated and has a piss poor track record against Kentucky considering he was at his very best.

This is INSANE levels of cope
