LIV Golf has until Oct 25 to get its players to sign up for LIV 2.0, the relaunch planned in its Chapter 11 case. Under the BC Partners term sheet (as GOLF.com read it), at least half of the players LIV owes money to must sign, holding at least two-thirds of all player claims; the first deadline was Oct 13. This week Jon Rahm (the largest player claim, $7.5M) said no, LIV agreed to end Sergio Garcia’s contract, Eurosport’s Jacek Person reported that Dunhill Links winner Adrian Meronk has no intention of extending with LIV (not confirmed by Meronk), and lawyers for Bryson DeChambeau, Cameron Smith, Byeong Hun An, Marc Leishman, Cameron Tringale and Matthew Wolff asked to be let out of their old contracts. Bryson DeChambeau, with the next-largest claim ($5.7M), is the key.
