There’s a fundraiser happening this Thursday for the Kids Legacy Golf Fund. It takes place at the Pike Lake Golf & Beach Club on October 1st.
Kids Legacy Golf Fundraiser
I’ve attended several fundraisers in the past for Kids Legacy Golf Fund, and it’s a great time and it’s for a good cause. The Kids Legacy Golf Fund was established as a nonprofit organized by Mark Carlson. Its goal is to promote the game of golf in the Twin Ports area and get kids into the sport.
Silent Auction
The public is invited to attend the fundraiser at the event room at Pike Lake Golf & Beach Club, where there will be a silent auction from 4:30-5:30. The first 50 guests will receive a complimentary drink, and they can bid on items like grills, golf clubs, pictures, and a new refrigerator.
Clubs For Kids
Plus, while at the event, you can pick up a set of golf clubs for a kid who’s interested in golf. There are no financial eligibility requirements. As Mark has said in the past, if you have a child who wants to learn how to play golf and you could use the help, take a set of clubs.
There will be over 100 used clubs free to kids 12-17, and they are giving away 8 junior sets to children 5-11 years old.
The fundraiser takes place on Mark’s birthday, so be sure to wish him well.
