American Patrick Reed has been dealt an injury blow which will hinder his hopes of winning the Race to Dubai.
Reed leads the Race to Dubai but the end of season run in has taken a turn with Rory McIlroy in the mix.
A wrist injury has also changed the landscape.
Reed was forced to pull out of the BMW PGA Championship due to injury two weeks ago.
He opened the second round with a triple-bogey seven on the first and then things only got worse.
He withdrew after nine holes.
Reed is now no longer on the entry list for this week’s Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
