Is the Vessel Player VI worth it?
Yes. The Player VI is $449, the Player VI Pro is $499, and they’re the most complete carry bags Vessel has ever built. Each one costs only $10 more than the Player V it replaces. For that $10 you’re getting three stays instead of one, the Axis-Lock rangefinder mount and a built-in AirTag pocket. You also get a bigger putter well for fat mallet grips and a 10 x 8.75 inch base. That’s the widest in the Player lineup.
What is the difference between the Vessel Player VI and the Player VI Pro?
The Pro is $50 more, $499 against $449. The Player VI comes in a 6-way or 14-way top. The Pro comes in a 7-way or 14-way, and its top is a little bigger. Both have 10 outside pockets and a cooler pocket. The Pro adds an internal pocket and two insulated slip pockets next to the cooler. Its ball pocket is magnetic with no zipper, and it gets its own hero color on top of the six Player VI colors.
Who should not buy the Vessel Player VI?
If you want the lightest bag possible, this isn’t it. If you walk a lot, the Vessel Player Air Carbon is about $420 and weighs about 5 lbs. If your bag rides a cart or a push cart, you won’t feel the difference, and the Player VI is the one.
