Trump’s proposed golf course in DC could cost nearly $50 million, documents show

WASHINGTON (CNN) – President Donald Trump’s proposed championship golf course in Washington, D.C., could cost between $20 million and $49 million, according to a document reviewed by CNN.

The National Park Service outlined in the document that it will start soliciting bids to renovate the public golf course in East Potomac Park in January 2027.

Trump said over the summer he wants to break ground on the golf course this month.

Separately, the Department of Interior has awarded a contract to a company headquartered in Massachusetts for “e-design” services for the course.

Other capital projects

The golf course is one of multiple public construction projects around the nation’s capital that Trump has sought to put his stamp on. The projects have drawn public backlash and a multitude of lawsuits.

They include attempts to rename the Kennedy Center after Trump and build a triumphal arch in the city.
