The association explained that the management responsibility of golf courses is also strengthening in the field of industrial safety and personal information protection amid discussions on improving the standard terms and conditions for using golf courses and the public golf course system. In addition, the major policy and institutional issues that have been discussed recently and the direction and opinions of the association’s response to them were shared with member companies.

The association also introduced that it continues to provide member companies with education and information necessary for the operation of golf courses, such as safety management and personal information management, through cooperation with specialized institutions. At the special lecture on the day, various management strategies were presented that can be used in the field, including promotion of golf courses, customer service, and course management.

Under the theme of “Changes in Golf Course Promotion Trends,” Maekyung Golf reporter Noh Hyun-joo explained that the importance of SNS content is growing as the way golfers access golf course information has changed recently. In particular, it attracted attention from participants by introducing a “influencer utilization marketing plan” that can naturally inform golf courses based on golfers’ actual experience of using them.

Shim Jae-sung, director of Solar Tech, introduced a solar power generation solution using the carport of a golf course parking lot and the roof of a club house. It is explained that parking vehicles can be protected from sunlight and rain to increase customer convenience while increasing management efficiency such as building an eco-friendly image, improving brand value, and generating additional profits.

Lectures were also given on how to manage golf courses. Kwon Sung-ho, CEO of BnBK, an advisory member of the association, analyzed actual reviews and photos posted by golfers online and SNS in August under the theme of “Summer Remaining in the Golfer’s Photo Book” and pointed out the main problems that appear on the lawn of the golf course in summer.

CEO Kwon explained the type of grass damage and the cause of each symptom based on the case, and suggested a recovery program and management plan accordingly. BnBK provides course management newsletters to association members every month and guides them on major course management matters every month.

Kim Tae-young, a full-time vice president of the Korea Popular Golf Association, said, “As the trend of golf course promotion changes rapidly, the importance of various marketing strategies is increasing, and the abnormal climate requires changes in the way the course is managed.” “The association will continue to discover factors that change the management environment of golf courses, such as personal information protection, marketing, course management, and customer service, and actively support member companies to establish practical management and management strategies,” he said.
