Five Iron Golf has officially celebrated the launch of its first UK venue with a star-studded VIP opening party at its new Broadgate location, bringing virtual golf, interactive sports, food, drinks and entertainment together under one roof.
London has a new destination for sports fans, competitive groups and anyone looking for something a little different from the traditional night out.
Following the opening of its first UK venue earlier this summer, Five Iron Golf marked its arrival in the capital with a Grand VIP Opening Party at its 6,900-square-foot venue at Broadgate Circle, just moments from Liverpool Street Station.
The event brought together guests for an evening packed with virtual golf, interactive multi-sports, competitions, complimentary food and drinks, and plenty of entertainment.
The celebration was hosted by comedians Tom Green and Tom Price, presenters of the Golf Is Ruining My Life podcast, who brought their trademark humour to the event as guests explored everything the new venue has to offer.
Five Iron Golf Brings More Than Golf to London
While golf remains at the heart of the Five Iron Golf experience, the London launch party demonstrated that visitors don’t need to be experienced golfers to enjoy the venue.
Guests were able to take on friends across a wide range of interactive games, with activities including footgolf, zombie dodgeball, disc golf, hockey, bowling, basketball and clay pigeon shooting.
There were also a number of football-based challenges, including penalties, free-kicks and target practice, giving the evening something for sports fans beyond the golf course.
For those who did want to test their golfing skills, the event featured a Closest to the Pin competition, with guests battling it out for prizes throughout the evening.
The venue’s state-of-the-art Trackman simulator bays provided the technology behind much of the action, allowing visitors to experience virtual golf while competing against friends in a social setting.
Virtual Golf Meets a London Night Out
Five Iron Golf is designed to combine indoor golf with the atmosphere of a sports bar and social entertainment venue.
The London site features eight Trackman golf simulator bays alongside a full-service bar and restaurant. Screens throughout the venue also show major live sporting events, including Premier League football and Formula 1.
Guests can use the Trackman technology to play hundreds of famous golf courses virtually, while Callaway clubs are available for those who don’t have their own equipment.
That makes the venue accessible to experienced golfers looking to practise their swing, as well as complete beginners who simply want to try something new with friends.

A New Social Destination Near Liverpool Street
Located at Broadgate Circle, 1 Finsbury Avenue, Five Iron Golf’s London venue is just a short walk from Liverpool Street Station, placing it firmly in the middle of one of London’s busiest business and entertainment districts.
The concept is designed to blur the lines between golf venue, sports bar and social space, giving groups the opportunity to play, eat, drink and watch live sport without having to move between different locations.
The launch party offered a glimpse of that approach, with guests able to move between simulator bays, interactive games, food and drinks throughout the evening.
