There is nothing that will shift. This team has 0 shot of winning a championship this year. I'll always root for the nuggets, but ill also be rooting for Jokic to leave next summer too. He deserves to go out with more than one ring and the legacy he rightly deserves. One of the top 10 greatest players of all time without a doubt in my mind.
You guys gave me a heart attack with that title.. thought he was traded for a second.
The psychology/phsyiology connection angle, implying that the recurring hamstring injuries could be traced to the loss of his brother, as AG himself believes, is unprovable. What is provable is that his weak coach did not adhere to AG's minutes restrictions if a game was on the line. It is also true that AG was played on back to backs.
Something else unprovable, but I'd go with likely, is that the team's blah performance against the Wolves' end of the bench was largely because the Nuggets knew they had no chance to go all the way without a fully healthy AG.
I'm wondering if you guys know anything about Jokic's wrist injury? Sure seemed like his three pointer was so ineffective against the Wolves due to something physical. Yet not one word in the whole offseason about Jokic getting wrist surgery. And he's back to doing his thing for Serbia. We've heard a lot about his contract situation, but what about those weird stretches when his wrist seemed to be affecting him but now there's still no talk of surgery to remediate the situation?
